What is to be understood from the "1 donoum" limitation for aliens?

When we look at Cap 109 which is the law regulating the acquisition of immovable property by aliens in the TRNC, we can see that this is possible only under certain circumstances. The right of aliens to acquire immovable property in the TRNC is limited with 1 donoum. However, I find it very useful to mention that the “1 donoum” stated above should be considered as “1 donoum at the most”. It should not be understood that the total measure of more than one property doesn’t exceed 1 donoum. In other words, what’s basis is only 1 immovable property. An alien acquire any other immovable property after he has bought a flat and/or villa and/or land of less than 1 donoum.
