What is the amount of VAT aliens are liable to pay when acquiring immovable property?

Upon obtaining the legal permits for the acquired immovable property from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police and Security Investigation and lastly from the Board of Ministers, its time for the transfer of the title deed of the immovable property to the name of the alien at the relevant District Land Office. The District Land Office (independent of the contract signed) evaluates the immovable property and assigns it a value. The alien is liable to pay 3.25% of this amount as the Title Deed transfer, and 5% as the VAT.
